Heron County Park

This park is located just north of Danville, Illinois.

These trees I shot were on the north side of the park, as seen from the road.

I had gone there early in the morning to catch the sunrise.

Unfortunately, it was not particularly good that morning.

So I resigned myself to exploring the park.

I had never been to the Nature Trail on the other side of the road, so I decided to check it out.

Crossing the road, I spotted the stand of trees in the early morning light.

After a few minor adjustments in Lightroom, I converted it as to black and white to further enhance the trees.
