My photograph, Budapest Rainbow, is a perfect example of an experience we have all had at some point: driving somewhere and then seeing something so beautiful that you have to pull over, grab your camera and attempt to document what you are seeing. This image was taken under such circumstances while I was visiting Budapest, Hungary in July 2017. I'd like to think that my years as a photographer and photography teacher prepared me to capture an image like this one; nevertheless, timing was everything. I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to witness the warm glow of the setting sun on the Parliament Building and then, as an added bonus, the remarkable rainbow encompassing the iconic landmark of Hungary. This was my last evening in Budapest before returning home and a memorable farewell treat from the land of the Magyar.
